The Osaka IDO MK1 is the ideal shoes for hockey, padel or training. Take your pick based on historical footwear experiences however the general rule of thumb is girls will use the slim and guys will use the standard IDO.

My favourite hockey shoe

In my experience the Osaka Ido Mk 1 is the best hockey shoe out there, combining all the important things - the fit is superb (I particularly like the wrap-around lace system, that 'cradles' your foot inside the shoe), it is comfortable (even with my bunion and arthritic big toe, for which I wear a silicone spacer when I play - and it all fits comfortably inside the Ido) and it also offers great protection to the toe box.
The padding on the inside of the heel looks a bit odd, as it is low down, not high up above your heel bone, so it looks as if your foot will slip around (in contrast the Osaka Kai shoe has padding higher up which looks like it will grip better) but once you wear the Ido, it works perfectly, and you feel perfectly secure, so it is not an issue in the slightest. I only mention it because I thought that when I first saw the Ido, and a team-mate has the same shoes and also commented on it.
The icing on the cake is the Ido design and looks are the best out there - cool colours too.
My only criticism would be that they no longer make the Ido in the fab 'Honeycomb' colour, which is a sort of mustard yellow - Osaka, if you're reading, please bring these back!
