The Mercian Evolution Pro Legguards are a top-tier set of field hockey goalkeeper legguards, built for serious and international-level keepers who demand the very best in protection without the bulk.
Developed in conjunction with international goalkeepers Amy Tennant (England and GB) and Tommy Alexander (Scotland), the Evolution Pro legguards are constructed from multiple layers of high-rebound foam, delivering Level 5 (International) protection. Despite that impressive level of coverage, the foam construction keeps the overall weight impressively low, making them notably light to wear without sacrificing safety.
A unique outer skin reduces friction between the legguard surface and the turf, making sliding and smothering movements far smoother and more controlled. The innermost layer is made from heat-sensitive foam that gradually moulds to the individual shape of the goalkeeper's leg, giving a personalised, comfortable fit that improves over time. A three-strap arrangement allows keepers to fine-tune the fit, with the flexibility to mix looser and tighter combinations across the leg.
