The Mercian Evolution CKF90 Xtreme is the premium model in Mercian's Evolution hockey stick range, built for advanced players and ambitious intermediates who want to sharpen their drag-flicking, aerial and 3D skills.
At the heart of this stick is a 90% carbon lay-up placed across a fibreglass micro-skeleton, delivering excellent energy transfer for powerful hits and slaps while retaining a responsive touch and feel. Kevlar is woven into the construction to boost durability and strengthen the laminate bond, so the stick holds up under the demands of elite-level play. Nano-polymer resin technology works at a sub-microscopic level to create a more flexible yet stronger bond between the composite layers, increasing stiffness and reducing the risk of delamination.
What sets the Xtreme apart from the standard Evolution CKF90 is its distinctive concave shaft, which sits above the stick face to enhance flicking and slingshot slapping without affecting ball-to-face contact. A flat edge on the reverse side improves tomahawk hitting, while a slight twist at the head aids ball handling, dribbling and control. The low bow profile is designed to cup the ball, making drag-flicking and aerial play noticeably more consistent. Triple-process vibration control keeps the feel clean through every touch.
