So, at the ripe old age of 53 I’ve been persuaded by my 11yr old sone to take up hockey so we can play a match together at some point. So far these have stopped me getting bruised and battered by a bunch of kids 40yrs my junior so all I can say is that they are doing the job they were designed for. Unfortunately they don’t give me magical powers and help with my stick/ ball skills but if they keep me out of hospital then that’s got to be a bonus!
