Premium materials not always the best option!

I bought these as a replacement for a very similar pair that I had worn through. I went with the premium version as it was heavily reduced so not much more expensive than the mid range. The gloves look and feel lovely. I did notice though that these have a full leather palm and thumb, where my previous ones had a different material in the unprotected thumb. The leather is no good for absorbing sweat when you wipe your brow through the small gap between helmet peak and grille, so I think I actually preferred batting with the slightly cheaper gloves (the unprotected thumb is the only part of the glove that fits through that gap if you need to touch your face), so with these new gloves I have more of a problem with sweat in my eyes! Something I wouldn’t have thought of so hopefully someone finds this review useful!
