Convert your white cricket pads into coloured cricket pads in an instant - as easy as pulling on a sock!
CLADS are a unique product with many benefits:
Why do you need CLADS?
All forms of local cricket competitions are embracing 20/20 cricket as part of their annual fixtures. As part of that movement, competitions are requiring coloured cricket clothing and are now moving rapidly towards requiring coloured protective cricket equipment, such as cricket pads.
CLADS, with many other advantages, are a cost-effective way of complying with coloured cricket pad requirements.
What are the advantages of CLADS over coloured cricket batting pads?
CLADS enable players to have coloured batting pads without the cost. If a player changes clubs, or participates in a non-association arranged competition, he or she will save money by not having to purchase additional sets of coloured cricket pads.
CLADS are lightweight and fold up easily into a cricket kit bag. Players do not have to carry around a second or third pair of coloured cricket pads.
CLADS are durable and, if a player follows the use and care instructions, should have a lifespan similar to that of cricket pads.
CLADS protect existing cricket pads when applied for one day or T20 matches or even at training.
CLADS are hand washable. Conventional cricket pads are difficult to keep clean.
CLADS enable the cricket pad to become an advertising space for sponsors, associations and supporters or even allow a player to personalise their cricket batting pad.
The Marylebone Cricket Club (London) has resolved that CLADS comply with the Laws of Cricket.
The reverse fabric provides a robust material for the front of the batting pad. It is also the fabric that has the least attractiveness to the velcro found on cricket batting pad straps. It will reduce any "picking" if rubbed by the velcro. Importantly, the reverse fabric retains the definition and shape of the cricket batting pad. From a metre or so away, the shape of the cricket batting pad can still be seen, including the knee roll and the seam joins in the leg. The stretch fabric provides the flexibility to enable CLADS to be applied easily over cricket batting pads.
There are three eyelets on each side of a Clad for the cricket batting pad straps to fit through;
